2025 NCEC Scholarship Program Details
Navarro County Electric Cooperative is offering a scholarship program for students who are attending or will attend a college or vocational school. NCEC will award 6 (six) scholarships in the amount of $6,000.00 each. The applicants or their parents must be members of the Cooperative to qualify for this program. The applications must be received at the address listed under the application box before February 20, 2024 and used for the Fall 2025 / Spring 2026 semesters.
The scholarship program is funded by capital credit checks that are not cashed. Claims on these accounts can be made indefinitely, but after three years, unclaimed amounts must be transferred to the Texas Unclaimed Property Fund. Some of these unclaimed funds are returned to the co-op to be used for scholarships. The Scholarship Program has been able to support higher education for co-op members and their families who live within the co-op’s service area.
